No market for it
This is Ventimiglia market, half-way through the morning on a wet and windy day. Hardly any of the traders thought it worth their while opening up; they just sat in their vans or chatted with each other before calling the whole thing off.
Although today was relatively mild, it’s been unusually cold for the time of year. Yesterday, just a few miles inland there was snow on the lower mountains; here’s one of the local villages with snow-brushed hills surrounding it. This was a particularly gloomy day; the photo was taken just after noon.
